The redesign aims to break away from the previously rigid and highly standardized impression associated with traditional uniforms.

The overall ensemble consists of a stand-collar grey cropped jacket paired with a red narrow skirt. The jacket is based on clean, streamlined lines and incorporates a single-sided red vertical trim along with delicate red piping details, creating a distinctive visual language with strong brand recognizability. The stand-collar structure, combined with a tailored fit, produces a more elongated and upright silhouette while maintaining a balance of professionalism and modernity, reflecting a refined and cohesive aviation service image.

From a design perspective, Fang Kuo-Chiang reinterpreted the airline’s long-established red and grey palette to preserve brand heritage while modernizing its visual expression. Grey serves as the primary tone to convey stability and professionalism, while red symbolizes enthusiasm, vitality, and the brand’s service spirit. The coordinated use of a red skirt and red linear accents on the jacket creates a harmonious visual linkage, allowing the uniform to retain corporate identity continuity while presenting a brighter and more youthful overall appearance.

In terms of tailoring, particular emphasis is placed on highlighting feminine curves and elegance. Compared to the previously stiff, suit-like jacket designs, this version adopts a more fitted and softer cut, making the cabin crew appear more graceful, sharp, and natural rather than rigid. The proportion of the tailored jacket paired with the fitted narrow skirt enhances the fluidity of the overall silhouette, shifting the cabin crew image from a traditionally serious and formal look to one that is more lively, fashionable, and approachable.

Accessories and overall styling are also a key highlight of this uniform. To enhance visual warmth and consistency, Far Eastern Air Transport introduced bold red high heels and red-toned hair accessories (such as hair ties and ribbons) as standard components of the uniform ensemble.
