Khanyisa Education Centre, founded in 1989, is located in the tranquil Limpopo Province bushveld, on the outskirts of Giyani. The Centre’s 40-hectare campus nestles peacefully on the lower slopes of Man’ombe Nature Reserve. The Primary and Secondary schools are accommodated in beautifully designed buildings scattered amongst well-maintained gardens.
At Khanyisa we are prepared to go beyond the expected and bring children an education that they will remember long after the completion of their tuition. We achieve this feat by recruiting excellent, passionate and knowledgeable educators and ensuring that we remain abreast of the latest developments in technology. We provide up to date facilities, educational aids and equipment and implement the latest, proven learning and teaching techniques and education trends.
At Khanyisa we learn to care, do and achieve.Our aim is to provide excellent services in order to cater for social, specialist educational and physical needs of the child in a safe, homely, relaxed but orderly atmosphere in which children can learn and develop, develop a sense of self-discipline, responsibility, self-esteem, respect and love for all mankind.
We endeavour to educate our learners holistically by placing equal emphasis on the academic progress, participation in sporting and cultural disciplines, and by educating our learners about the need to give back to our community via a programme of community outreachThese four aspects of their lives are critical in their development towards adulthood, and if we get this right, it will lay the foundations for their contributions to society as active, responsible and involved citizens. We are acutely aware that we have the most precious of the nations resources in our care.
It is our responsibility to nurture and develop these young people to eventually become the assets of the future South Africa. They have a critical function to perform in roles of leadership and influence in the wider community. We therefore have to help them develop insight, understanding and appreciation for that which we hold dear, and give them a voice to speak unambiguously in helping to address the challenges of the future.
