Rehoboth Christian School, originally named Amanzimtoti Christian School was founded in January 1989 for the purpose of educating children, both academically and spiritually, using a Bible based curriculum. Initially housed in a local church building, the school started with 30 pupils and 4 staff members.
By the end of the year, the school had grown to 50 pupils, predominantly Senior Primary.
By 1990 the school had outgrown the facilities and application was made to the Natal Education Dept. for premises in Illovo Beach. After much negotiation and prayer they granted the premise, bond free, and in June 1991 a new era began.
