Cambridge High School is situated in the heart of Cambridge, one of the oldest suburbs of East London, one of the two large harbour cities on the eastern seaboard of the Eastern Cape Province of South Africa. Established in 1879, it is a large co-educational institution, and is the “older brother” of the Cambridge Primary School, the two schools together forming the Cambridge Family of Schools. (Please refer to the History Page for a more detailed history of the school.) There are currently over 1 000 pupils from Grade 8 to 12 with a complement of almost 60 teachers. A very wide choice in terms of an academic curriculum is offered, while a comprehensive extra-mural programme (both sporting and cultural) is available
