Yuying Secondary was founded by the Hainanese Community in 1910 as a Chinese medium high school. It is one of the oldest school in Singapore.
Initially, it was known as Yock Eng School . In 1947, it was renamed to Yock Eng High School . Finally, in 1985, its name is changed to Yuying Secondary .
