Yishun Junior College (YJC) is one of the 18 junior colleges in Singapore, offering two-year pre-university programmes for students who graduate from secondary schools after the General Certificate of Education 'Ordinary' Level Examination. The two-year programme prepares students for education in local or foreign universities.
Yishun Junior College has been receiving value-added awards ever since 2003, existing as one of the top-ten value added junior colleges in 2005 and 2006, and clinching the gold academic value-added award in 2007, 2008, and 2009.
Unlike other junior colleges in Singapore which offer fixed subject combinations, YJC offers students flexibility in subject combinations for the GCE Advanced Level.
The students participate in co-curricular activities, community involvement programmes (CIP), and leadership development programmes. As far as possible, all students experience, besides their 'A' level studies, an adventure camp, an overseas immersion programm
