Welcome to the Ursuline Secondary School Blackrock – a school community where gospel values are lived and taught.
We are a community of students, staff, parents, Board of Management and Ursuline Sisters wherein each individual is respected, appreciated and encouraged to develop his/her individual talents and gifts.
The Ursuline Secondary School in Blackrock Cork is the first secondary school for girls set up in Ireland after the Penal Laws. It is the oldest girls secondary school in Ireland having been established in 1771.
We aim to promote Gospel values of respect for the individual, justice for all and compassion. We aim to celebrate these, to develop the full potential of each girl and prepare her for life in a changing world.
We strive for academic excellence for each student with respect to her ultimate goal and the development of her full potential, spiritually, emotionally, physically, intellectually, aesthetically and socially.
