Rosary College was founded in 1966 by the Religious Sisters of Charity to provide second level education for teenage girls in the Dublin 12 area. The school entered the Free Scheme in the late nineteen sixties. The school was built in 1968. Another local school providing second level education for boys closed in recent years and the decision was taken by the Religious Sisters of Charity to admit boys in 2004. The school’s current enrolment is 200.
