Innovative Education for the Future
At Windsor High School, students in grades 9-12 become life-long learners empowered to pursue success in their personal, academic, and professional lives. Aligned with the Colorado Career Clusters Model, the educational experience at Windsor High is designed to build the skills and knowledge students will need to ensure success in their future professions. Students can choose from courses and career pathways in agriculture, business, visual and performing arts, communications, information technology, STEM, skilled trades, health sciences, and public safety.
Opportunities Abound
Windsor High students can earn college credit and industry certification while completing their graduation requirements. Offerings include Advanced Placement courses in English, math, social studies, science, music theory, visual arts, and Spanish. Through University of Northern Colorado dual-credit courses, students can earn credits toward their high school and college diplomas without stepping foot off campus. Students have access to free concurrent enrollment opportunities at Aims Community College in criminal justice, emergency medical services, audio production, automotive technology, graphic design, natural energy production, and health sciences. Students can also earn industry certification, a credential recognized by business and industry, which measures competency in an occupation and validates knowledge base and mastery of skills.
Windsor Wizards Athletics, Arts and Extra-Curricular Activities
Home of the 2015 CHSAA 4A state championship football team, Windsor High fields 39 athletic teams in cross-country, track and field, baseball, football, basketball, tennis, golf, volleyball, cheer, pom, lacrosse, soccer, softball and swimming. The award-winning Pride of Windsor Marching Band is one of many performing arts activities including jazz and orchestral music ensembles, multiple choirs, and regular theatre productions. Windsor High students are encouraged to participate in the school’s many social and academic clubs and honors societies, among them Yearbook, Robotics, Key Club, Literary Magazine, National Honors Society, FFA, Future Business Leaders of America, Family Career Community Leaders of America, Interact Club, Knowledge Bowl, and Student Council.
