The Beechwood Education Trust, the trust responsible for running the Cambridge Campus, was formed in 1994 to provide assistance to Christian parents who were home-schooling their children. Initially, this assistance was in the form of arranging examination entries, providing books and courses, and small amounts of tutorial support with subject specialists where parents felt unable to manage themselves. Over the next decade there was steady progress with increased tutorial support through a wide range of subjects and with small group tutorials, including group excursions to support history and other lessons.
