The School was established in 1987 with:joeys9
the founding principal, Sister Patricia Smith, sister of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart.

One wing of 4 classrooms and 2 portable classrooms
Primary student numbers grew and in 1996 enquires began about adding secondary education.
Middle School opened in 1999 with 28 Year 7 students and 17 Year 8 students.
By 2001 St Joseph’s Catholic College had students from Transition to year 10.
In 2008 the Little Joeys Early Learning Centre was established for children from 3-5 years old.
After several years of enquires Year 11 has begun in 2013 and Year 12 in 2014.
