The Brisbane Christian Brothers and the Ballarat Sisters of Mercy provided the leadership of the College for the first 6 years, assisted and supported by dedicated lay teachers and Brother Ian Hunter C.F.C was the founding Principal.

In 1988 and 1989 the gym was built and more classrooms added. In 1995 and 1996 the senior block was added, to cater for Years 11 and 12 students. 1996 saw the senior science block built and the music and drama complex known as “The Barn” was constructed in 1997. This is a shared facility with the Holy Family Catholic Primary School which adjoins our campus.

In 2000 additional classrooms were added as well as another classroom block in 2006, since then the College has expanded as it moved to become a Middle School (Years 7 – 9) and a Senior Secondary College (Years 10 – 12).

With new facilities to complement the growth of the College we are fortunate in having Holy Family Primary School, Holy Family Church, Presbytery, and Convent all located within the one perimeter.

An extensive refurbishment program was undertaken in 2012 to paint the external walls of all classrooms blocks and upgrades to our ovals and general grounds. In 2013 our new extensive undercover area was opened, located adjacent to our canteen, with a large number of tables and seating to accommodate up to 200 students.

In 2014 a capital works program was carried out. It involved significant refurbishment to our Art, Manual Art and Graphic Design rooms. There were also renovations made to the staff morning tea and lunch room. This project was completed with support from the Block Grant Authority through financial assistance from the Commonwealth Government. These refurbishments have enabled the College to increase subject offerings across all year levels in the Arts.

The latest development at the College have been a new classroom block of 3 full sized classrooms, a smaller tutorial room and a VET/Careers room as well upgrades to staff work areas and toilet facilities. The extra classrooms were built in response to increasing enrolments at the College. The project was completed at the end of Term 2, 2016, and was done with financial assistance from the Commonwealth Government’s Block Grant Authority. The development has provided for more meeting rooms and ‘break-out’ rooms for student use.

The new Principal of the College in 2017 is Mr. Rhett Bowden.
