Mundaring Christian College (Mundaring Christian School at the time) was first established in 1988 to serve the growing needs of parents in the Shireof Mundaring wanting a Christian education for their children.

The fledgling school of just 16 students started off on the Swan Christian College (Midland Christian School at the time) campus before moving to the Sawyers Valley Christian Fellowship church. In those early days, staff and students had to pack up the entire school every Friday afternoon to make way for the Church service each weekend. Likewise, every Monday morning would begin with the school being set up again for the coming week.

In 1990, Swan Christian Education Association (SCEA) found and purchased suitable land on Walker Street in Mundaring, the current site of our Primary school. The permanent campus was officially established in 1991 and the school was placed under the direction of Principal David Skipworth.

David Skipworth led the school until 1995 after which Greg Wells, previously Principal for 12 years of another SCEA school, stepped into the role. In 1997, Greg took up the position as Principal at Kingsway Christian College.

Having advertised the vacancy nationwide, SCEA appointed Terry Myers, who relocated from NSW, to the position of Principal at Mundaring Christian College. Under his leadership, the college continued to develop a strong Christian foundation and quadrupled in numbers to 400 students in 2011. With the support of dedicated parents (still characteristic of the Mundaring Christian College community today), the college prospered and developed into a strong Kindergarten to Year 10 school.

In 2012, Rod McNeill (formerly Dean of Students at Swan Christian College) took up the role of Principal at Mundaring Christian College. As former pastor and missionary, Rod has preached and served on every continent of the globe. Within Australia, he established and pastored several churches in Albany, Fremantle and Geelong. Internationally, Rod successfully pioneered a church in Moscow and established a central base in Russia for ministries operating from and within London, Germany, Lithuania, Romania and The Netherlands.

With an ambitious vision for the college and the support of the college committee, Rod initiated the extension of Mundaring Christian College to provide a Christian education for students up to Year 12. In 2012 SCEA purchased 110 acres in Parkerville with the aim of establishing a Secondary campus. The campus opened in 2016 for students in Year 7 to Year 11, and will offer Year 7 to Year 12 from 2017.
