Tuncurry Senior Campus is an integral part of Great Lakes College, a multi-campus collegiate comprising two junior campuses (Years 7 to 10) and a senior campus. It has an enrolment of approximately 500 students in Stage 6 (Years 11 and 12). The campus offers a high-quality education in an adult learning environment, providing students with the oppportunity to achieve their HSC while gaining many skills relevant to further study and the workforce. The campus takes advantage of the large college structure to provide a wide curriculum, with many productive pathways for students to the HSC while capitalising on the advantages of the small campus structure to ensure the learning needs of each student are identified and addressed individually. The campus provides a very strong academic pathway to the HSC, achieving excellent results, while sustaining a rich offering of vocational options for students. The campus received the "Director General's Award for Excellence - Curriculum Innovation" in recognition of the excellent opportunities provided.The campus shares a site with TAFE, providing great flexibility of opportunities within the curriculum for students. It also has a strong partnership with Newcastle University.
