Hawkesbury High School is a coeducational high school delivering excellence in comprehensive education. It serves a semi-rural community on the west bank of the Hawkesbury River in the north-west area of Sydney. The school draws its population mainly from the small settlements at Freemans Reach, Wilberforce, Glossodia, Ebenezer, East Kurrajong and Colo Heights. The school continues to: Encourage all students and staff to value continuous learning and to strive to reach their potential; maintain a supportive environment which recognises individual talents as well as encouraging cooperative learning; promote and develop the educational partnership between the school and the community; and encourage all to value, maintain and enhance the school environment. During 1999-2000, the school community developed a statement of key values which can summarised by the following: Respect; responsibility; integrity; high aspirations; harmony; pride in the school.
