Moura State High School is fully committed to providing access to a quality education for young people in the Dawson Valley. It provides a dynamic approach to education with the focus on maximizing opportunities for our students to explore 'what's possible' and then providing them with the skills to reach their goals.
Students at our school are drawn from the local feeder schools including with Moura, Theodore, Bauhinia and Banana all represented. This diversity enhances the cultural fabric of our school with students from a range of backgrounds contributing to our school’s identity.
Moura State High School has strong and supportive relationships between its students, parents and the wider Moura community. Our P&C is incredibly supportive; enhancing many of the student opportunities that are on offer.
Curriculum at the school is closely aligned to the Australian Curriculum in the Junior School and offers a broad range of subjects to cater to student needs in the Senior School. Moura State High School has dedicated staff committed to providing positive learning opportunities to our young people. Our combination of experienced quality teachers and young, energetic, new teachers provides the ideal learning environment for our students.
I am tremendously proud to be able to be principal of this school. I am totally confident that our students are provided with every opportunity to build for tomorrow’s successes they will experience.
