Lowood State High School is a Band 10 Queensland school catering for Years 7 to 12. The school was established in 1983 and is located 32 km north-west of Ipswich. We have excellent teaching areas, well-appointed and newly renovated facilities and beautiful school surrounds overlooking the Brisbane Valley. Our students are mainly of European descent with approximately 9% Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander. Our students have a wide diversity of ability levels and come from diverse socio economic backgrounds. We have a transient student population and approximately 70% of students travel to school by bus. Our students' primary school experiences range from one teacher schools to large primary schools. Lowood State High School is committed to providing a high quality education which gives each student the opportunity to achieve to the best of their ability. Our School Motto is 'CREATING THE FUTURE'.
