1956
高雄市立六龜高級中學（Liou-Guei Senior High School），簡稱六龜中學，是一所位於高雄市六龜區的市立完全中學。
1956年9月該校創立，初為美濃中學六龜分部，借鄉公所辦公廳上課。
1958年奉令獨立設校為臺灣省高雄縣六龜初級中學。
1968年奉台灣省政府核准為臺灣省高雄縣立六龜國民中學。
1972年奉准設立臺灣省高雄縣立國民中學桃源分部，借桃源國小上課。
1973年桃源分部奉令改為「寶來分部」，借著濃村會館上課。
1974年正式在寶來建校。
1977年8月寶來分部奉准獨立。
2000年改制為高雄縣立六龜高級中學。
2010年12月25日 因為高雄縣市合併為高雄市，更改校名為高雄市立六龜高級中學。
