1946
國立岡山高級中學簡稱岡山高中或岡中，英文簡稱則常用KSSH，是一所位於高雄市岡山區的國立高中。
1946年夏，籌組建校委員會，9月進行招生，省立高雄第三中學成立。
1947年4月，奉令接收高雄縣立岡山初級中學。9月1日，奉令改為台灣省立岡山中學。
1962年夏，該校奉令接辦省立高雄女子中學橋頭分部。
1964年8月，該校橋頭、路竹兩分部均奉令分別改為初級中學，劃歸高雄縣政府。
1970年，初中部結束改制為台灣省立岡山高級中學。
2000年2月1日，該校奉令升格為國立岡山高級中學。
