培元獨立中學(Pei Yuan High School)，簡稱培元獨中是一所馬來西亞的民辦華文中學，創辦於1912年10月11日。設校於霹靂州金寶，前身是福建學堂，初設校在金寶福建會館，後遷校於現校址。在1915年易名培元學校後，直到1962年，因大馬政府新教育政策而從培元中學改稱培元獨中。
教育經費來源是來自各階層的華社捐助以及學費所得。通過華社的支持得以維持辦學理念，讓華文教育得以繼續發揚光大，更使得華裔子弟有機會接受完整的華文教育。
在2005年11月動土擴建校舍，以提升學校硬體設施，並於2007年上旬啟用新校舍。新校舍命名為丹斯里李延年博士樓。
為配合2012年的百年校慶，培元獨中在2010年5月份籌備重建大禮堂和校舍。
