St Clare’s High School is a coeducational, regional High School, founded on the Josephite tradition, serving the parishes of Taree/Wingham, Forster/Tuncurry, Krambach/Gloucester/Nabiac and Bulahdelah. Catholic secondary classes began in Taree in 1926 conducted by the Sisters of St Joseph, Lochinvar. Due to growing numbers a new secondary school, Rosary High, was built in 1962.
