Introduction
ReLIFE (リライフ, Riraifu) is a Japanese manga series in webtoon format written and illustrated by Yayoiso. The individual chapters were released by NHN Japan on the Comico website from October 12, 2013, to March 16, 2018, and were later compiled into 15 tankōbon volumes published by Earth Star Entertainment. An anime television series adaptation produced by TMS Entertainment was announced on February 13, 2015, and premiered on July 2, 2016. A live-action film adaptation of the same name was released in 2017. In the same year, the manga won France's Mangawa Award.
Story
The story follows 27-year-old Arata Kaizaki, who works part-time at a convenience store after leaving his job at a black company. One day, he is approached by a mysterious man named Ryō Yoake, who offers him a unique opportunity. To accept the offer, Arata must become a test subject for the ReLIFE Experiment, which makes him appear ten years younger and requires him to enroll as a third-year high school student. The purpose of the ReLIFE Experiment is to give participants a second chance to experience their youth and, in the process, help them overcome the problems in their lives.
