Morisset High School is a large, comprehensive, co-educational high school located on the western side of Lake Macquarie. The school's statement of purpose is: successful learning - responsible living. The school's mission is to create a learning environment which enjoys total student, staff and school community support. A place of learning, where all students and staff want to be, where parents and care givers want to send their children, where the school community recognises and supports the school's efforts and achievements. We believe that: Learning is the central role of the school; all people can learn well; and achievements must be valued and recognised; everyone has the right to feel safe and happy.
We believe in: Honouring diversity, equality of access, opportunity and outcomes for students; empowerment, and that all of the school community must have a genuine voice in decisions that affect them; caring for ourselves and others, our school and the environment; self motivation, self discipline and taking responsibility for our own personal growth and our own behaviour; continuous improvement; catering for different learning styles; and creating needs satisfying environments which are non-coercive and fear free.
