Welcome to Claremont High School Academy. Our mission statement is “To prepare our students to reach their full potential.” We know that we are very successful in doing this because we have students, staff and parents who are totally committed to our core values of Excellence, Respect, Aspiration, Enjoyment and Perseverance.
These are the values that are celebrated and upheld across the academy so that students of all ages and abilities are able to make exceptional progress academically, socially and personally. It is the strength of these core values that has led students to make an excellent and smooth transition from their much loved primary schools so that they achieve excellent GCSE and A level results. This enables them to make the transition to top universities and colleges and to secure excellent professional careers in fields such as Medicine, Finance, Law, Teaching and Hospitality and in the competitive world of Business. Many have achieved sporting success well beyond the school environment and others have found true excellence and vocation in performing and visual arts. It is no accident that former and current Claremont students can be found making their mark not just in the local community but across London and the world. They are living proof of the school’s commitment to their lifelong learning and the extent to which they have chosen to live by our core values which of course are the values that they have shared with their families.
This commitment was recognised once again in the recent OFSTED inspection which deemed the school to be Outstanding in all categories. This is testament to the quality of teaching and learning at Claremont, staff and student relationships and the excellent learning behaviour of all of our students. We are proud of being the only secondary school in the Borough to be awarded this outstanding grading under the new inspection framework which sets the standards higher than the school’s previous outstanding grading (2010).
