Pacific Valley Christian School are very proud to be part of the Lower Clarence and Maclean community. We enjoy being able to create opportunities for our students to participate in giving back to the people in the community that we live in and also abroad.

We believe that community involvement helps your child see life from another perspective and develops foundational tools for their life. At the heart of our school culture is the desire for our community to be highly valued and for your children to be committed to serving, both locally and globally. Taking part in service to our community, teaches students to think outside of themselves and develop a sense of belonging to the community in which they live.

Mission is a key feature of Pacific Valley’s commitment to the service of others. Our Primary students participate in the Run4Bibles campaign, which raises funds to give Bibles to students in Africa, through Bible League International. Over the two years we have been supporting this charity, students have been using the annual school cross-country event as an opportunity to organise sponsorship which has seen the school collectively raise over $1,000 for this worthy cause.

Our other mission partners include, Westpac Careflight helicopter, The Heart Foundation and Compassion. By partnering with these organisations students can also see how their fundraising is impacting people across the globe.
Serving Jesus in our local community

Annual events are included in the school calendar, such as, ANZAC day services and marches in the local community. Each year our enthusiastic students attend the local services, this year was no exception, with our largest contingent proudly marching through the township in honour of those who have served and continue to serve our country.

Pacific Valley Primary Choir also enjoy sharing with the residents of the local retirement village, singing and building relationships as an act of service.

The School also designates a week during the year to focus on missions that we feel will help our students build strong foundations. During this week we allow students time for mission activities and have community focused nights where family and friends can be involved. As with all fundraising, service and mission events, the students learn to serve their community. These acts of service promote growth in their character development by demonstrating respect and responsibility. At Pacific Valley we aim to show students how they can practically impact the world around them.
